Earwig Pest Control
Earwigs, also known as “pincher bugs”, can look pretty intimidating because they have pincers coming from their stomachs and most species can fly in short bursts. But don’t worry, they aren’t poisonous and don’t carry any kind of disease.
There are different kinds of earwigs, but most love wet, cool areas and eating dead leaves and other decaying plants. You can usually find them under a pile of wet leaves or damp mulch. While they are nocturnal insects, they are attracted to lighting, such as porch and patio lights.
Earwigs tend to move inside homes when the weather changes or they’re simply on the hunt for food. Some easy prevention tips include using a dehumidifier and keeping cement floors clean.
Pill Bug Pest Control
Pill bugs, also known as “rollie pollies”, are gray, oval-shaped bugs that will roll up into a tight ball if disturbed. They can be great additions to any garden, but can quickly become annoying if they keep finding their way inside your home.
They love moist areas, so you can usually find them staying under rocks, mulch, and leaves. So if they wander inside your home, perhaps they found another moist place to get comfortable. You can easily sweep them outside, but if you’re noticing a bigger problem call your LOCAL Bug Guy right away.
